Getting Us to Your Door

What happens after I call?

A licensed plumber talks through what's going on, tells you what to do in the meantime if needed, and gets moving toward you. You'll know roughly what to expect before anyone's even left.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, every day of the week, holidays included, at the same rate as any other call.

What actually qualifies as an emergency call-out?

Flooding, no hot water, a blocked drain or toilet, and any gas smell all count. If you're not sure, describe it on the call and we'll tell you straight.

How fast can you get here?

We aim to be on-site fast, within the hour is the standard we work to. Genuine emergencies jump ahead of routine bookings.

What It Costs, Straight Up

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. Quotes are free and there's a $0 Call Out Fee whether the job goes ahead or not.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. The price we quote is the price you pay, agreed before any work begins.

How can I pay?

Card, bank transfer or cash all work. We confirm the number with you before anything starts, so payment is straightforward once the job's done.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, genuinely. A plumber sizing up the job and putting a figure on it won't cost you a cent either way.

Your Suburb, Our Patch

What does heavy rain do to Curl Curl's plumbing?

When a heavy coastal system shuts the lagoon mouth to the sea, catchment streets can see stormwater surcharge that overloads drains built for lighter weather. Older lines near the lagoon feel it first, and properties on the lower-lying blocks are worth keeping an eye on during a heavy system.

Do tree roots really block drains around Curl Curl?

Yes, especially on the established streets around the lagoon and reserve plantings, where roots work into older clay drainage over time. A camera check usually confirms it before anything gets dug up.

Do you work on Curl Curl's apartments and strata blocks?

Regularly. Curl Curl is mostly detached houses, but the walk-up units near the beach and lagoon are a normal part of the week for us too, strata approvals included where they're needed.

Which suburbs do you service?

Curl Curl and the surrounding area, including Freshwater, Dee Why, Brookvale, Manly and Beacon Hill.

Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or the water authority?

It comes down to where the blockage sits. Your side of the boundary is yours to maintain; past that, out to the main line, it's the water authority's.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Absolutely. Our licence is #275278C, and we're happy to have you check it or ask to see it on the day.

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

A plumber holding a specific gas fitting licence, separate from a standard plumbing licence. We carry both, and either can be checked on request.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, on every job, no exceptions. That covers the work and protects your home while we're in it.
